What's llms.txt and why does my site need one?
llms.txt is the emerging standard (proposed by Jeremy Howard) for telling AI crawlers what content they can use and how to cite it. Think robots.txt, but for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. We auto-generate yours from your site's structure and host it on our edge CDN.
How does this differ from regular SEO tools?
Classic SEO measures search engines. We measure the LLM — what bots crawled your site, what model remembered you, and whether ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity/Gemini cite you when prompted. It's the answer-engine layer Ahrefs and Semrush don't cover.
Do I need API keys to use it?
Free tier works out of the box — bot tracking and hosted llms.txt require no API keys. Citation probes use our shared Anthropic-only quota on Free. Starter and above unlock OpenAI, Perplexity, and Gemini probes through your own keys or our pooled quota.
Where is data stored?
Hetzner Cloud, Falkenstein DE. Postgres + Redis are co-located. We never send your content to LLMs for the citation probes — the probes ASK the LLM about you, they don't feed your content to anyone. GDPR-native, no third-party trackers, no Cloudflare in front.
Can I integrate with WordPress / Shopify?
Yes — we ship a WordPress plugin and a Shopify app. Both serve llms.txt from your domain, surface bot analytics in your CMS dashboard, and accept one-click auto-fix patches. CLI + MCP server for power users.
What about other CMSes (Webflow, Framer, etc)?
Use the hosted CDN route — you point your domain's /llms.txt to our endpoint via a 200-status proxy or just link to it from your sitemap. Then connect the JS beacon to track AI referral traffic. Native plugins for more CMSes are on the roadmap.
What does 'auto-fix' actually do?
When our surfaceability score finds a weak page (missing FAQ schema, thin content, no question-pattern headings), the auto-fix engine generates a structured rewrite via Haiku and emits a diff preview. You approve it; we apply it via the platform integration. Nothing is auto-applied without consent.
